We proudly serve high-grade speciality coffee to our cafes, speciality coffee shops, delis, restaurants, hotels, and our busy online shop, which operates directly from our roastery in Witney, West Oxfordshire. We have a rare and exciting opportunity available to join our roastery team at our main roasting facility in Witney, West Oxfordshire.

We are currently seeking a Roastery Internet Dispatch Operartive to work directly with a small team, primarily focusing on assisting the production department in weighing, bagging, and packing our coffees and teas for our internet customers. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a keen eye for quality.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and take great pride in their work. The Roastery Assistant will be responsible for weighing, bagging, and packing coffee and tea into various packaging formats. You will be working directly in our warehouse and internet dispatch in the picking of orders and dispatching these to our customers, following set procedures and brand standards. This role also involves loading and unloading deliveries, lifting coffee sacks (circa 70kg), and booking in green bean stocks. An element of driving work will be required within the local vicinity of the roastery. Additionally, the successful candidate will use a forklift truck and maintain roastery equipment on a daily basis. It is essential to sweep and clean the roastery each day, ensuring that the working area is clean at all times.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production or warehouse setting, have a passion for artisanal coffee and tea, possess good problem-solving and time management skills, and have excellent customer service skills. Physically fit individuals who are able to lift up to 30kg, drag up to 70kg, and stand up to 8 hours will be suitable for this role. They must also be mechanically adept and able to use linear weighing, packing machines, pallet trucks, and forklift trucks. Additionally, the Roastery Assistant must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and possess good computer skills, including email, Microsoft Excel, web-based applications, and Windows operating systems. They must have good mathematical and analytical skills, excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to work independently, multitask, and remain calm under pressure. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when necessary is also required. A can-do attitude is a prerequisite for this position.
