Our Ground Coffee Blends

Our range of ground coffees are produced to very stringent standards to preserve their original flavour and freshness.

When ground coffee is in contact with oxygen it will rapidly degrade; the longer it's exposed to the air, the staler it becomes. That's why we transfer our freshly-roasted beans directly from the roaster into a nitrogen atmosphere.

We then grind and speedily pack our coffee straight away, using specially formulated laminated foil pouches that lock in the freshness and flavour. This not only saves time, but preserves the unique Ue flavour and aroma that makes our ground coffee so special.

Colombian Excelso A full-bodied complex bean, grown and sourced directly from the Grupo Associativo Quebradon Fairtrade co-operative near Palestina in Colombia. The Quebradon Valley is well known for its heavy rain that washes rich minerals down from the mountains, creating perfect soil conditions that go to produce a rich but intense flavour of blackberry tones with soft acidity. By far the best choice as a good all-day coffee, optimally served directly after being brewed.
Brazilian Bourbon Our high-grown Brazilian beans sourced directly from the Espirito Santo estate which is a small coffee growing region of Arace. The ripe coffee beans are sun dried leaving most of its sugary fruit coating still covering the bean. This results in a rich, but very sweet and full bodied coffee with tones of stewed cherry. A hearty flavour that can be likened to a good burgundy. Perfect as an after-dinner coffee.
Rainforest Dawn A sweet but smooth cup with tones of autumn honey and wet peat, sourced exclusively from the Pangoa Fairtrade co-operative in the Amazonian wetlands of southern Peru. Organically grown by small family farmers on micro-plantations. Better suited as a breakfast coffee or for palates that prefer a mellow light to medium roast. Dual certificated Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance. Perfect for its holding qualities.
Colombian Emerald This organic coffee is an excellent Colombian from the La Rochela Fairtrade plantation in the Valle del Cauca region. This coffee is certified as Organic and Rainforest Alliance. On the tasting table we had some bright fruity notes with medium body and acidity. A mellow but medium-bodied cup with low acidity and a sweet perfumed bouquet. A great comfortable cup any time of the day.
