BRITA MINUP C 500 CARTRIDGE

The BRITA Purity C 500 MinUp Cartridge is a specialized mineralization filter designed for regions with extremely soft water (carbonate hardness ≤ 3 °dH). When used in tandem with a Purity C Quell ST pre-filter (bypass set to 0%), it releases calcium carbonate to increase hardness levels from 1°dH up to approximately 5°dH over its lifetime. This enhanced mineral balance optimizes coffee extraction, ensuring full aroma, balanced flavour, and reliable performance of water-level sensors in professional machines. With a filter capacity of up to 30,000 litres (independent of incoming hardness when bypass is 0%), and a nominal flow rate of about 20 L/h (pressure loss ~0.1 bar), the MinUp cartridge ensures long-term consistency and system uptime. Comprehensive activated‑carbon treatment and fine filtration remove chlorine and taste‑impairing substances, all while maintaining ideal extraction-friendly mineral content. Compact and lightweight (~7.6 kg dry, 10.1 kg wet; dimensions approx. 557 × 144 × 144 mm with head), it supports G 3/8″ or John Guest 8 mm connections and operates at pressures up to 8.6 bar across 4–30 °C. The rapid-change Quell ST head simplifies installation and maintenance with integrated locking handle and flush valve.
