Bright and expressive, Thunguri AA is an extra-light roasted washed Kenyan coffee showcasing the clarity, vibrancy, and complexity Kenya is loved for. Expect sparkling lime acidity, delicate citrus blossom aromatics, and juicy blackcurrant sweetness, all carried through a clean, refreshing finish. Grown in Kenya’s central highlands near Karatina, between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range, this coffee benefits from fertile volcanic soils, cool temperatures, and reliable rainfall. We recommend brewing Thunguri AA as a filter coffee, especially with V60, Kalita, Chemex, AeroPress, or batch brew. Enjoy it black to fully appreciate its crisp citrus brightness, floral aromatics, and layered fruit sweetness. For best results, use clean, filtered water and allow the cup to cool slightly as you drink. As the temperature drops, the coffee reveals greater sweetness, refined acidity, and a beautifully elegant expression of classic Kenyan character.

Dan Fox, our Head of Coffee, leads a team at our Witney Roastery to expertly taste, select, and roast our coffee. Once carefully packaged, it is then shipped to customers in the UK and beyond. With a global understanding of coffee harvests occurring at different times throughout the year, Dan collaborates with a team of specialised importers to ensure fair pay for farmers. As a company, we also prioritise investing in community projects that benefit the communities we depend on for our coffee.
