CHOCOLATE | WALNUT | FIG

Certification: Bird Friendly®, Organic and Fairtrade

This beautifully balanced Honduran coffee is an easy one to enjoy.Expect smooth notes of chocolate and toasted walnut, lifted by the gentle sweetness of ripe fig. Rich without being heavy, it works just as well black as it does with milk.Grown beneath a diverse canopy of shade trees, this coffee is certified Bird Friendly®, Organic and Fairtrade, making it a great choice for anyone looking for exceptional coffee with a more positive impact.

This coffee comes from Capucas, near the town of Las Capucas in western Honduras. The farms sit around Celaque Mountain, the highest peak in Honduras. Capucas was founded in 1999 by José Omar Rodríguez and has become one of the pioneering farms leading the way in Bird Friendly coffee production.

Bird Friendly® certification was created by scientists at the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center and is one of the most rigorous environmental standards in coffee.Instead of clearing forests, Bird Friendly coffee is grown beneath established shade trees that provide habitat for birds and other wildlife. The shade also allows the coffee cherries to ripen more slowly, helping to develop greater sweetness and flavour.
